LoopUp is a global provider of cloud communications and collaboration solutions for enterprises. LoopUp’s core product is cloud telephony for Microsoft Teams offered as an end-to-end managed service. Their desire to grow and provide additional services to the customers meant they needed a platform to house their core business VMs and testing environment.
The Solution.
Constor Solutions recommended Dell VxRail to host their VMware environment and Dell PowerProtect DP Series appliances to protect the data.
Constor worked with LoopUp on the design and implementation of the new solution. Previously a Microsoft Hyper-V customer, VMware on VxRail revolutionised their virtual environment. The time to provision VMs was greatly reduced as was the latency to their storage.
The previous backups were often not completing, they relied on Veritas Backup Exec and stored the data on tape. Their new Dell PowerProtect appliance de-duplicates and encrypts the data at source so backups now complete in minutes. Loopup’s business extends to 67 countries and they intend to standardise and deploy the same solution throughout their datacentres.
